Boys Day Program Treatment for non-court ordered clients

Francis Lauer will also be offering group services to individuals who are not court ordered. These referrals come from parents who would like their adolescents to have additional support for behavior problems. A minimum of 3 clients are required for this group to take place. If there are enough clients enrolled, the group will take place 2-3 days per week, after school at FLYS, and conclude by 5:00pm.

These groups will consist of Character Counts, Aggression Replacement Training and other behavior-based approaches.

Boys Day Program School

Francis Lauer, in conjunction with surrounding school districts and Juvenile Court Services, provides an alternative educational setting for students with behavioral needs. Students enrolled in this school MUST be referred to FLYS by the home school district of that client or court ordered to attend school at FLYS.

The Boys Day Program School allows students to work at their own pace while giving them the added structure and behavioral supports that are difficult to achieve in a public school setting. Students have access to many courses from grades 7-12. Core education classes like English, History, Science, Math and PE are required for every student. Elective classes like Psychology, Spanish, German, Culinary Arts, Work Study, Sociology, Intro to Film, Intro to Music and Health are all available at certain times as well.

Boys Day Program School, this school year, will begin on August 22nd, 2011 and end May 31st, 2012. All major holidays are observed including Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Years, Memorial Day and a spring break is included in the calendar as well. The school day will begin at 8:00am with students being picked up and dropped off for breakfast. From 8:30 to 12:00, students will be in classes and from 12:30 to 3:00 as well.
